Tasting Notes:

Tasting notes taken 11/26/2009.

Appearance: very pale hazy golden yellow with a two-finger head which dissipates somewhat rapidly. A pretty good example of the style. (4)

Smell: very big coriander aroma with citrus and wheat as well. The coriander is a bit overdone; I could probably go with a bit less next time. It's just a bit too raw and prickly. (3.5)

Taste: gentle flavor but much more well-balanced than the aroma. Coriander fits much better in the flavor profile, playing a nice harmony with the citrusy wheat flavors. I quite like it. (4)

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with plenty of carbonation. This yields a very nice creamy sensation which I quite enjoy. This is definitely my favorite of my homebrews thus far when it comes to texture. (4)

Drinkability: the flavor is good and the mouthfeel is very nice, so I find this a very drinkable beer. Added to that the fact that I find the style quite drinkable already, this is my favorite homebrew overall thus far. (4.5)

Overall score of 3.95 (B+); as I said, I think this is my favorite homebrew so far and the score has borne this out. I will definitely be brewing this again in the near future, and with improved mash efficiency, the additional grain flavor should balance out the coriander a bit better. Better efficiency will also bring this up to the 5.5% range, which will also improve it a bit, I think.
